Pelé -Brazil- (1940)

Pele, whose real name was Edson Arantes do Nascimento, was born in Brazil on the 23rd October 1940, he is considered to be one of the greatest football players of all times. A major figure in football and frequently presented as the best player in history, he is the only footballer who has been champion three times in 1958, 1962 and 1970 with the Brazilian national team. He also has an outstanding career, he has several awards such as the IOC’s Athlete of the Century Award, the player of the 20th century by FIFA, the Ballon d’Or of Honour and is part of the 20th century World Team. Since his sports retirement, Pele has been an ambassador to the United Nations and UNESCO for education, ecology and the environment.
