Nelson Mandela -South Africa- (1918-2013)
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela “Madiba”, was a politician, one of the most important historical leaders of the struggle against the apartheid political system before becoming President of the Republic of South Africa from 1994 to 1999, following the first non-racial national elections in the country’s history. All his life has revolved around the fight against racial segregation. For that reason, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.
