Constance Agatha Cummings-John 1918 — 2000 Sierra Leone
Fondatrice du Mouvement des Femmes de Sierra Leone (Sierra Leone Women’s Movement (SLWM), Constance Agatha Cummings-John était politicienne, enseignante et militante pour les droits des femmes africaines. Son franc-parler et son refus de se plier sous la pression exercée sur elle par le gouvernement colonial ont fait de la Sierra Leone un endroit dangereux pour elle. Elle est devenue la première femme africaine à devenir maire d'une grande ville africaine, Freetown, en Sierra Leone.
